The Virtual Arena is proud to feature the new 2012 Season. Consisting of larger tournaments, stat tracking, new leaderboards, new prizes, and new gamers, this Season is going to be huge. If you don’t have enough teammates, or a ride to Columbia, sign up anyway and we will help you find other gamers who are attending from other areas around Missouri. GAME NIGHTS

In addition to big tournaments revolving around major game releases, the Virtual Arena is dedicated to providing an exciting location for spontaneous LAN matches with as many participants as possible. Playing in 4 vs 4, 8 vs 8, or even 12 vs12 matches is possible online, but nothing beats the excitement of “this half the room versus the other half!” Our busy weekends are full of opportunities to create system-link or private-matches, provided everyone else happens to be playing the same game you want to play. But what do you do if you come to the Arena hoping to get into a Halo Reach LAN game, but everyone is playing Call of Duty? Or vice versa? We also offer special discounts, like the buddy pass, that encourage friends to bring their friends, but what if you come by yourself? To answer these questions, the Virtual Arena is proud to introduce GAME NIGHTS! Coming soon, we will set a schedule for certain games to be played on certain week-day nights. From 5pm to 10pm, if you play the dedicated game of the evening with everyone else, you will only have to pay $2 an hour! Based on attendance, the Arena might even encourage some fun competition with prizes like free game time or gift cards! Good luck!

MODERN WARFARE 3 REGULAR TOURNAMENTS

Modern Warfare 3 is easily the most popular game at the Virtual Arena, and we’re always getting requests for tournaments. Well get your teams ready, because Sunday the 24th will be the next in our monthly series of Modern Warfare 3 Tournaments! Admission is only $40 a team, and we will feature a CASH PRIZE based on attendance. Teams HAVE to be registered and ready to go at NOON – so we are opening the doors at 11 am. For rules and more information, please go to COSPLACON’s facebook page. Be sure to play Call of Duty with your friends here, at the biggest Xbox LAN center in Missouri, the Virtual Arena!!

MLG HALO REACH TOURNAMENTS

The MLG Hype events continue! From now on, if there is an MLG tournament somewhere – the Virtual Arena will host a pre-tournament event and send the winning team to MLG! The next MLG Event is in Providence: MLG PROVIDENCE The Virtual Arena’s pre-tournament will be Sunday, November 13th, starting at 12, noon. This is a 4v4 event, so get your teammates ready! Admission will be $40 per team, minimum 4 teams. The winning team wins a TEAM PASS to the MLG Providence event, so please, only enter if you’ll be able to travel to Providence! Traveling and hotel accomodations will be the responsibility of the winning team. The MLG Providence Event takes place Friday through Sunday, November 18th -20th.

STARCRAFT 2 TOURNAMENTS!

Coinciding with these MLG events, The Virtual Arena will feature MLG Party/STARCRAFT 2 Tournaments! The next event will be Sunday, November 20th, starting at noon. These events can be compared to Super Bowl parties: bring food, refreshments, and watch live-streams of the MLG Events. Bring your own PC and play Starcraft 2 with other party attendees! Good luck!
