The Virtual Arena has changed many times since it opened in August, 2005. When it opened, there were only 4 Xboxes on large 11' projection screens, 4 PCs, 2 PS2s and 2 GameCubes. Now, Arena Gamers have more choices than ever with TWO locations to choose from! Our original location at 1301 Vandiver Dr allows more people to play at the same time than ever: 16 Xbox 360s, 4 PS3s, and 5 PCs. That's 25 stations! Ten more Xbox 360s are available at our SECOND location inside Game City at 3101 W Broadway!
We have over 50 games to choose from! We have a wide variety of games from action and adventure to role playing, sports, racing, and the popular first-person-shooter. All of this is available, but like our name suggests, we like to emphasize the multi-player experience. All of the Xbox 360s are system-linked together and each one has a unique Xbox Live account. The PS3s are also system-linked together and can play games online on the PlayStation Network. The Virtual Arena is prepared for multi-player matches or tournaments with the most popular titles like Call of Duty World at War, Gears of War 2, Halo 3, and Left 4 Dead!
NEW GAMES!
Just because it isn't the holiday season, new games keep coming out at an alarming rate! Since February, we've added so many new games: Bionic Commando, KillZone 2, and inFAMOUS for the PS3, UFC and Prototype for the Xbox 360, and more! Go to the library page to check them out! Many thanks to all the Virtual Arena Gamers out there that have stuck with us over the years, and many more thanks to all the new Gamers! The economy may be bad right now, but we're still offering a fun, safe, and energetic place to hang out with friends and play video games! We appreciate everyone bearing with us through these changes. We've already replaced twelve of the 19" screens with 28" 1080p FULL HD screens, and more are on the way! More importantly, our hourly rates are STILL ONLY $3 an hour! Bring in a friend and take advantage of the NEW BUDDY PASS: 2 people for 2 hours for only $10!
In addition to our regular hours, the Virtual Arena is open ALL NIGHT every Friday night for the lucky gamers that sign up for our special Lock-Ins. The Arena will also open early - by special arrangement - for birthdays or other private parties.
